Pre & post care

A smooth appointment starts before you arrive.

Use this guide as a general overview. Your artist’s personalized instructions should always take priority.

Before

Pre-care guide

01Avoid alcohol and excessive caffeine for 24 hours before your appointment unless your healthcare professional advises otherwise.

02Avoid waxing, tinting, laminating, strong exfoliation, or irritating skin treatments around the treatment area for at least one week before your appointment.

03Tell your artist about medications, allergies, pregnancy or nursing, recent cosmetic procedures, skin conditions, and previous permanent makeup.

04Arrive with clean skin and bring reference photos if they help explain your preferred shape, color, or style.

After

Post-care guide

01Keep the area clean and follow the personalized aftercare instructions provided at your appointment.

02Do not pick, scratch, peel, or apply makeup and unapproved products directly over the healing area.

03Avoid heavy sweating, swimming, saunas, steam, and prolonged direct sun exposure for about 7 to 10 days.

04Expect fresh pigment to look darker or brighter at first. Mild dryness, flaking, and temporary unevenness can be part of normal surface healing.

Typical healing timeline

Days 1–3: Color may appear darker, brighter, or more defined than the final result.

Days 4–10: Mild dryness or flaking may occur. Let the skin shed naturally without picking.

Weeks 2–4: Color can temporarily look lighter or uneven as the skin continues to settle.

Weeks 4–8: The healed result can be evaluated and any recommended touch-up can be discussed.
